  • Defensive Pistol Level 1
    8:00 AM-5:00 PM

    Classroom, practical and live-fire range training designed to produce gunfighting skills and enhance advancing skills for the experienced shooter. Focuses on close and mid-range engagements, includes combat under stress, combat shooting positions, accurately engaging threat targets while moving, working around barriers and barricades while maintaining cover in dynamic threat environments, standard and non-standard responses in close-quarters engagements, techniques for accurately engaging threats in crowded environments. Also, includes specific drills to keep the firearm and the practitioner in the fight. Each level builds on the previous one, so they must be taken in order. $175.00 – Click here to register

    Level 1 close-range engagements; accurate shooting under stress, basic procedures for clearing malfunctions and reloading under stress; basic principles and drills for rapid and highly accurate and target acquisition; standard and non-standard firing responses.

    Level 2 refresher of previous training and drills; close-range and mid-range engagements, combat shooting positions, dynamic engagements while moving; barricade and obstacle shooting positions.

    Level 3 Refresher of previous training and drills; engagements while searching open areas and buildings; moving targets; weak hand shooting; shooting from and around vehicles.

    PREREQUISITE: CFP or eligible to obtain CFP, previous course, or waiver by SRW, Inc.

    EQUIPMENT: Pistol, spare magazines (at least 3 magazines required), 300 rounds ammunition, hearing protection (muff type, electronic preferred), eye protection (range glasses, wrap around preferred), preferred concealed carry holster and magazine pouch, knee pads, appropriate loose clothing and footwear for range exercises.

    No steel jacket or steel core bullets on the range.

    If you have problems getting ammunition for the course, it will be available on the range, email us for ammo prices.

  • Fighting to Your Firearm 2 (Lecture, Practical)

    Many armed encounters start at very close proximity and require the use of empty hand combative techniques to create sufficient space and time to access and employ a concealed carry firearm. This course includes instruction on defensive combative techniques and includes practical exercises for the use of these techniques under stress.

    Fighting to Your Firearm, Part 1: Defensive techniques against strikes, kicks, clubs, blunt force weapons.
    Fighting to Your Firearm, Part 2: Weapon retention and take-aways.
    Fighting to Your Firearm, Part 3: Defense against the blade.
    Fighting to Your Firearm, Part 4: Ground fighting

    Each course includes additional instruction on defensive combative techniques, building on skills previously learned and enhancing such with additional techniques for initially defeating an attacker and
    includes practical exercises for the use of these techniques under stress. Each course may be taken on its own, they do not need to be taken in order. $75.00 – Click here to register

    EQUIPMENT: NO LIVE AMMUNITION in the training area. Personal concealed carry handgun, holster, magazines/speed loaders (empty), magazine pouches. Converted marking projectile pistols will be supplied along with safety equipment for force-on-force engagements. Eye protection (range glasses, wrap around preferred) required, appropriate clothing and footwear for force-on-force exercises (long pants, long-sleeved shirts, no open-toed shoes), groin protection (males) required. Tactical/shooting gloves HIGHLY recommended.

  • Couples Safety Seminar

    A significant number of violent crimes happen in the home and in public environments. There is a significant likelihood you will not be alone when confronted by a violent criminal, you may very well be accompanied by your significant other. Without training and rehearsal, your significant other may not know what to do if/when you take action, and may add to the difficulty of the situation. This course uses classroom presentations and practical exercises to provide strategies and concepts for developing emergency action plans for violent encounters as couples. Plans will be tested by situational exercises using force-on-force munitions. Course is $85 per couple in advance, $95 at the door – Click Here to Register

    Both persons NEED NOT be firearms users, but each attendee must bring their significant other.

    PREREQUISITE: Principal person must have a valid Utah or other state CFP.

    EQUIPMENT: NO FIREARMS OR AMMO. Long-sleeved shirts, long pants, athletic or tactical-style footwear, gloves. Range eye protection, groin protection (males). UTM firearms and safety equipment supplied.

  • Concealed Carry Combat

    Practical and force-on-force training designed to produce expertise in carrying, accessing, and utilizing a preferred concealed handgun.  Holsters, clothing styles, bags/purses/manpacks and accessories will be covered as part of the curriculum.   Situational events focus on close to mid-range threat engagements and incorporates various response options, including empty-hand techniques, fighting-to-your firearm, accurately engaging moving threat targets, home and office threat environments and protecting unarmed third persons.
